RAHANA – Reports from Tehran University suggest that university’s disciplinary committee and its sub-committees have handed expulsion and suspension orders to students who were arrested or injured during an attack on the university dormitory following the June presidential election.
According to irangreenvoice, most of punished students had to face other disciplinary and restrictive measures in the beginning of the school year but the recent rulings surpass those previously given in terms of their severity. It appears that the rulings are an initial reaction to the dormitory attack video (broadcast by BBC) which leaked out as a result of rivalries within the security apparatus.
