Behzad Mehrani Held in Rajai-Shahr Prison

Blogger and rights activist, Behzad Mehrani called his family today from Rajai-Shahr Prison in Karaj.

RAHANA – This is the first time Behzad Mehrani has contacted his family since his arrest on March 3.
According to a RAHANA reporter, Mehrani told his family that he is in good condition and is being held in solitary confinement at Karaj’s Rajai-Shahr Prison.
Meanwhile, Mehrani’s lawyer, Mohammad Oliyayifar was taken into custody this morning at the Revolutionary Court to start serving a 1 year prison sentence.
The blogger was arrested on March 3 in Tehran. A few hours after his arrest, a group of intelligence agents working for a different agency came to Mehrani’s house with a warrant for his arrest.
